Delaware County 2026 Heat Plan

The Delaware County Health Department collaborated with the Department of Human Services including the County Office of Services for the Aging (COSA) and Delaware County Libraries, and the Department of Emergency Services to put a Heat Plan in place for when the hot weather hits and to offer resources for residents to cope with the heat once it arrives.

Residents may read the 2026 Heat Plan to learn about the resources the County provides and are also welcome to reach out to the Delaware County Health Department’s Wellness Line at (484) 276–2100 or [email protected] for information about heat and wellness. Residents should take precautions during heat waves and high humidity, including checking in with elderly and disabled family members and neighbors who are at greater risk for heat-related illnesses.
