Aldan Community Groups

Aldan Boosters

Aldan Boosters Civic Association

"The Aldan Boosters Civic Association was established in 1924. The Boosters mission has been to bring good to Aldan. The Boosters helped create other civic groups such as the Boys Club and the 4th of July Committee. We continue to run current events such as the Easter egg hunt and the Christmas tree lighting ceremony. We grill hotdogs at the 4th of July, and we continue the unique tradition of Santa visits to the homes of Aldan children on Christmas morning. Plus, the Boosters provide special activities, installing new benches, repairing old ones, and replacing signs at parks and fields."

Meetings are held at the American Legion, Bonsall Ave & Wayne Ave, Aldan, PA 19018, every 4th Wednesday of the Month at 7:30pm. Please visit the Aldan Boosters Civic Association website for more information.

Aldan Troop 2

"Troop 2 traces its origin all the way back to September 14, 1914 when a group of eight boys met in the basement of the home of Henry Thomson in Secane. In 1920 Aldan Union Church, under the leadership of their young minister William A. Dean decided to sponsor the Troop. In 2014 American Legion Post 1000 took over the role as the Charter Organization for Troop 2.

Scouts BSA is for boys who are 11, or are at least 10 years old and have completed the fifth grade or have earned the Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award, through 17 years old. Boys experience a vigorous outdoor program and peer group leadership with the counsel of an adult leaders (Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters) to achieve the Scout BSA objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness. Camping, fun with friends -- and more. It’s the adventure of a lifetime.

Give your son a valuable gift by encouraging him to join Scouting today. The time you invest in him today will make a difference in the person he becomes tomorrow."

Weekly meetings take place on Mondays from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at American Legion Post 1000. Please visit the Troop 2 website for more information.

Aldan Memorial Post 1000

"In 1947, a group of veterans, chartered an American Legion Post in their hometown of Aldan, Pennsylvania. They were proud of their service to their country, but they also wanted to continue that service here at home. Seventy years later, the members of Aldan Memorial Post 1000 continue that legacy of service. We invite you to explore our web pages. Learn how we continue to serve not only Aldan but also our neighbors and our fellow veterans. If you are an eligible veteran, we encourage you to join our Post."
